MATARA CHILDREN CENTRE . . .
Matara Children’s Center (MCC) is a center for children who need support to improve the quality of their lives. We serve low income families and children without parents.
Formal applications are made for each child by respective school principals and Grama Nilidari. Household visits are included as follow-up. Some children are supplied with stationary, refreshments and reading materials

SWEDISH FRIENDS OF CHILDREN IN SRI LANKA (SFCSL)
SFCSL is an independent organization consisting of more than 600 members in Sweden. It has worked since 1980 for vulnerable children in Sri Lanka. SFCSL reached Matara in 2002 starting two projects and has expanded at present to cover more than 10. In addition to MCC, Pre school Development & Scholarship program are some of the key projects implemented through INDECOS.
